FIRM OVERVIEW
Capitalizing on Mr. Lindsay's 18 years of business experience, followed by 18 years of legal practice, the firm was founded in January of 2007 to provide high-quality, affordable, legal representation in selected areas of the law. The firm specializes in appeals, civil litigation, and litigation support. In every phase of a case, the firm strives to help its clients achieve what is legally achievable, at the least cost, by bringing the truth to light.
Appeals
The firm handles appeals in state and federal courts and in all areas of civil law, except for family law or divorce cases. In addition, the firm will handle appeals from final determinations of state and federal agency review boards, such as the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board or the Board of Immigration Appeals. The firm's appellate practice includes writ petitions for discretionary review of non-appealable trial court rulings. We also work with other appellate counsel by conducting legal research, by drafting motions to the appellate court, or by drafting portion of briefs.
Litigation
Our firm handles all types of business and commercial disputes. We are particularly adept at simplifying complex cases. We have significant experience in litigating breach of contract, interference with contract, fraud, and malicious prosecution cases. Over the years, we have represented residential real estate developers, general contractors, subcontractors, writers, movie producers and directors, oil field developers, electronics manufacturers and distributors, and a wide variety of small business, such as commercial interior decorators, nursing registries, and scuba diving instructors.
We also handle personal injury cases. Whether the damage is financial loss or physical injury, we prefer to represent the damaged party. In all cases, our goal is full compensation for the harms and losses suffered by our clients.
Litigation Support
The firm provides law and motion assistance to other attorneys. We can assist by drafting complaints and by making or opposing potentially dispositive motions, such as 12(b)(6) motions to dismiss, demurrers, motions for judgment on the pleadings, or motions for summary judgment. We can help counsel prepare for trial by identifying evidence that should be brought to the attention of the court via a motion in limine, or by opposing such motions. We can also craft special jury instructions.
